Partial Refund Request
We guarantee that the deed will be in the proper format for recording (assuming no issues with user-entered data). When the form is properly formatted and matches the decisions made in the interview, we cannot offer a full refund for the following reasons:
- Our products are digital so, unlike a physical product, they cannot be returned to us for a refund.
- There are incremental costs to us for each deed assembly, including both licensing costs for the software and overhead associated with responding to requests like this one.
- Unless we monitor the land records (which would be impractical), we have no way of knowing whether the deed is ultimately used. If we offered refunds to anyone who asked, there is nothing to prevent someone from using the software to create a deed, requesting a refund, then filing the deed in the land records.
For these reasons, our policy is to offer a partial refund of $30.00 when the customer decides not to use the form (for whatever reason) even though there isn't a problem with the form. To claim this refund, you must certify below that you will not record the form or use any part of it to prepare an alternative form. Note that requesting a partial refund will place your account on a list that restricts you from using our service in the future.
Include any additional information that you feel would be helpful in evaluating this request.
Provide a clear explanation of the basis for the recording official's rejection of the document. If you prefer to attach a copy of the letter rejecting the document, simply write "Attached" and upload the letter using the tool below. Vague statements that do not provide enough information for us to evaluate the basis of the rejection will not be approved.
