In regard to a Florida Lady Bird Deed, I have 3 homes, 2 are rentals. My understanding is that when registering my deed at the courthouse I would need to pay a Transfer tax on all 3 homes. If I were to sell the 2 rental homes first, then would I need to pay any tax on the funds from the sale which may invested in a Stock or Bond fund that would be transferred to the Lady Bird Deed with my existing Home already in there ??

As stated in that discussion, the Florida Department of Revenue does not assess a full documentary stamp tax if the person who transfers the property is the same person that retains the life interest.
